可惜這個輯本雖然受到學界的高度重視，經常被各種學術論著所稱引，但是迄今對于《中興館閣書目》以及趙氏之輯考本身的研究卻相當薄弱，基本上還停留在介紹性的水平，這不能不說是目錄學史研究中的一大遺憾。
