通過文獻調研和檢索發現，目前國內對產業集群尤其是涉及高新技術產業集群及集群競爭力研究的學術論文不多。本文選取近年來發展迅速的蘇錫常地區的高新技術產業作為產業集群和集群競爭力研究的樣本，力圖通過實證分析、比較分析和因素分析，剖析該地區高新技術產業集聚的原因，探析該地區高新技術產業集群競爭優勢的來源，探尋該地區高新技術產業集群競爭力的動力機制，以產業集群的新視角尋求蘇錫常地區高新技術產業發展的新途徑，以冀為該地區的產業與區域經濟發展提供一定的參考作用。
