鑒於我國數學課程演進是在繼承本國數學傳統基礎上對國外數學的借鑒或移植，即學習借鑒國外中學教育的體制、方法和經驗，再結合中國的實際情況，摸索創建中國數學教育體系；同時由於不同文化有不同的價值取向，所以我國數學課程演進中必須研究與解決的一個重要問題是，文化傳統差異對數學課程價值取向的影響，也是本文要討論的問題。
