In particular, a person is interested in a marine adventure where he stands in any legal or equitable relation to the adventure or to any insurable property at risk therein, in consequence of which he may benefit by the safety or due arrival of insurable property, or may be prejudiced by its loss, or by damage thereto, or by the detention thereof, or may incur liability in respect thereof
一個人與海上冒險有利益關系，尤其是在他與該冒險或處在危險中的任何保險財產，具有任何法律上或衡平的關系，因而若保險財產安全或及時抵達他便能從中獲取利益；反之，如果保險財產滅失，損壞，或被滯留或招致有關責任，他的利益將受到損害。 -

Where a ship in course of building, or the launch of a ship, or any adventure analogous to a marine adventure, is covered by a policy in the form of a marine policy, the provisions of this act, in so far as applicable, shall apply thereto ； but, except by this section provided, nothing in this act shall alter or affect any rule of law applicable to any contract of insurance other than a contract of marine insurance as by this act defined
如果用海上保險單格式的保險單，承保建造中的船舶，或者船舶下水，或類似海上冒險的任何冒險，本法中的各項規定，只要是可適用者，均得適用之；但除本條規定者外，本法的任何規定，都不能改變或影響任何適用於本法規定的海上保險合同以外的保險合同的法律規定。 -
In addition to providing coverage against the losses incident to marine adventure, marine adventure may cover the risks of any adventure analogous to an marine adventure, land risks which are incidental to a marine adventure of risks incident to the building repair or launch of a ship ( art 2505 )
除了提供承保海上冒險意外事故所致之滅失之外，海上保險還承保類似海上冒險伴隨海上冒險而來的陸上風險，或在建造，修理和下水船舶意外風險的任何冒險 -
Subject to the provisions of this act, every person has an insurable interest who is interested in a marine adventure
根據本法各條規定，與海上冒險有利益關系的每一個人具有保險利益。 -
A contract of marine insurance is a contract whereby the insurer undertakes to indemnify the assured, in manner and to the extent thereby agreed, against marine losses, that is to say, the losses incident to marine adventure
海上保險合同，是一種保險人按照約定的方式和范圍，對與海上冒險有關的海上滅失，向被保險人承擔賠償責任的合同。
