其中速度傳感器是防滑器正常制動的關鍵部件，但是轉速傳感器在工作時安裝位置比較特殊，工作環境惡劣，容易受到腐蝕、碰撞等損傷，而防滑器主機通常僅能對轉速傳感器的短路或斷路故障做出診斷，對轉速傳感器發生的其他故障難以識別，這樣就容易在列車運行時引發防滑器誤動作，甚至導致事故發生。
