摘要本文主要根據綿陽、梓?新發現的東漢「秋胡戲妻」畫像磚以及過去已知的新津、彭山有關畫像石材料，結合《華陽國志?士女傳贊》等文獻記載，揭示出東漢時期以自殺方式表示婦女貞節為特點的「秋胡戲妻」材料在四川地區特別流行的歷史背景，和西漢文翁在蜀興辦學校大力推行儒家倫理道德教育所產生的巨大影響。
