軟體部分所要實現的功能為：通過中斷服務程序把心電信號定時採集出來，以二進制的形式存儲在計算機中；數據壓縮程序應實現對心電信號的預處理和壓縮，縮小數據存儲量，節省空間；病例信息管理系統實現患者個人信息和心電信息的存檔，把採集的數據保存作數據庫中，能夠將心電波形直接顯示在計算機屏幕上，並提供列印報告單的功能。
