此片以男性角度為主，編劇兼導演葉錦鴻或許曾把部分個人經歷套入劇情也說不定，不過有一點肯定的是，葉把自己對香港電影的熱愛和感情完完全全融入劇情之內，他透過戲中主景，長洲舊戲院，把當年上畫的電影海報重現眼前，劇情之間亦穿插不少舊戲片段，對于同為成長於六七十年代的觀眾，必會有一番感受，猶其看著當年電影上畫觀眾魚貫入場，景況墟撼，和現在冷清的戲院環境相比，就更感無奈和惋惜。
