對完整字元，採用將圖像用矩陣表示，利用獲取圖像的矩陣與識別模板的矩陣做減法，結果矩陣的所有元素絕對值和最小的即為識別結果;對不完整字元，針對電度表讀數的具體特點，採用將兩行0 ~ 9的字元圖像排列起來作為模板，利用模板匹配法進行識別;對于刻度的識別，利用刻度的中心坐標位置，僅僅識別長刻度表示的是0或是5即可。
