由於emd演算法一開始並不是在雷達領域發展的，文獻中已有的演算法主要是針對海波、地震波等，所以本文首先分析了適用於雷達信號的emd演算法，並從sar和isar回波信號的特點出發，以emd演算法分解后的雷達信號為基礎，針對目前sar成像中的高分辨問題、 isar中非勻速和多目標成像清晰度不高等問題，研究了emd演算法在sar與isar成像處理中的應用，並採用大量模擬試驗對研究成果進行了驗證。
