但最令我快慰的是，在我這樣跑了五六趟之後，滿以為船上已沒什麼東西值得我搜尋了，不料又找到了一大桶麵包，三桶甘蔗酒，一箱砂糖和一桶上等麵粉。這真是意外的收獲，因為我以為除那些已浸水的糧食外，已不會再有什麼食品了。我立刻將一大桶麵包倒出來，把它們用裁好的一塊塊帆布包起來，平安地運到岸上。
