衛星遙感技術在減輕自然災害中發揮了十分重要的作用，但也不得不指出，衛星遙感技術在防震減災工作中，無論在國內或國外均尚未得到有效的應用.這一方面固然是由於地震事件十分復雜，地震孕育和發生的規律尚未搞清，難以發揮衛星遙感技術的作用，另一方面也由於可以使用的衛星遙感技術的解析度還不夠高，重復觀察的周期長，限制了這一技術在防震減災工作中的應用.有鑒于近年來衛星遙感技術有了新的進展，使其有可能在防震減災中發揮特殊的作用，本文旨在對衛星遙感技術在防震減災工作的應用，對它的可行性、有效性、經濟性和與此相關的科學技術問題進行探討，使這項技術能在防震減災領域早日得到應用，以促進我國防震減災工作的發展分享友人
