Five chapters were included in this dissertation : in the first chapter, the background and the appliable area of this study was described ; in the second chapter, aldo rossi " urban architecture theory was discussed in detail, focussing on two aspects of his rational - typology and analogical city ; the third chapter provided a summarization of aldo rossi " architectural practice ; the fourth chapter shows the practical significance for us through analysing his unique design technique ; the final chapter was conclusions and expectations of aldo rossi ' s urban architecture theory
