為了解決這些問題，需要重新開發fms -的cad cam系統，目標就是從基於pdm下的通用cad系統提供的圖形信息直接描述零件開始，人工交互方式輸入加工信息，由專家系統的推理機實現自動配模，經計算產生刀位文件，優化排料后，再針對鈑金fms -的數控系統，後置處理生成相應的數控加工程序，數控機床根據加工程序代碼自動完成加工，從而實現鈑金fms -的cad cam系統基於pdm下的開放集成。
