「五樂格格女子新民樂彈唱組合」創建於2004年，由畢業于高等音樂學府的孫莉莉召集了其他四位音樂學院青春靚麗，才華橫溢的美少女組成，她們沒有向如今遍地開花的其他新民樂組合一樣去拷貝一種風格，而是走出了另外一條不同於任何組合的路線，那就是彈唱結合的形式，揚琴兼組合主唱手之一孫莉莉的想法是：現如今沒有一首膾炙人口的器樂曲，很多器樂組合演奏了很多優美的器樂曲也不被廣大聽眾認知，所以，她們認為有曲有唱，既有優美的民族樂器旋律，也會同時通過她們的演唱來豐富樂曲，這樣才會流傳下來她們的歌曲。
