根據鋸同位素地層學的基本原理，利用已有的鋸同位素演化曲線，筆者確定重慶秀山寒武系剖面寒武系底界、下一中寒武統界線和中一上寒武統界線都應適當下移；另外嘗試確定了重慶秀山寒武紀剖面一些關鍵點的年齡，累積厚度1380m處的年齡為503 ? 509ma ，累積厚度1900m處的年齡約為500ma ，這對秀山寒武系剖面下、中寒武統和中、上寒武統界線的確定具有參考價值。
