摘要本文根據蘇北四個村莊進行問卷調查得到的數據，分析了流動勞動力整體特徵、土地數量對勞動力流動的影響、社會網路關系和勞動力中介市場對流動的影響等問題，發現轉移出去的是農村勞動力的精華部分，大多數都是青壯年，文化素質相對較高，留在農村的勞動力大多數是老人、婦女；只有1 / 5的農村勞動力還是真正意義上的農民，大多數身份介於農民和非農民之間。
