Divide the flexor retinaculum and retract the flexor hallucis longus tendon and the neurovascular bundle posteriorly and laterally ; then by retracting the tibialis posterior and flexor digitorum longus tendons medially and anteriorly, expose the posterior tibial fracture ( fig. 1 - 35 )
