掃描電子顯微鏡和透射電子顯微鏡對碳納米管陣列電極的形貌表徵表明碳納米管形狀規整，排列有序，尺寸均勻，管壁光滑，外徑約為120nm ，內徑約為110nm ；循環伏安實驗表明mwnts陣列電極在酸性溶液中比在中性溶液中具有更好的電容性能；根據恆電流充放電法得出mwnts陣列電極在1mol / lh _ 2so _ 4水溶液中，在210ma / g的放電電流密度下的比電容可達353f / g ，比目前報道的無序碳納米管和活性炭電極的比容量都高得多；其它電化學實驗顯示該電極具有很低的內阻和良好的充放電循環穩定性。
