    摘要根據鋼軌製造技術的發展並結合軌道研究和設計領域的最新成果，對城市軌道交通鋼軌定尺長度、鋼軌質量及鋼軌材質選擇進行分析和探討，並建議在鋼軌選型時，應全面考慮不同線路布置特點，車輛及荷載情況，運輸、施工及維修條件，建設工期，初期投資及運營成本要求等綜合因素，力求使每條城軌交通中的鋼軌選型方案在滿足安全可靠的基礎上，更具工程針對性和經濟適用性。
