本論文基於大量的實驗研究，建立了陸架沉積物顏色反射率的研究方法。利用minoltacm - 2002光譜光度計測量了黃海、東海海區的165個巖心樣品，獲得了7000多個有效的顏色反射率數據，首次給出南黃海陸架、東海陸架北部、沖繩海槽等海區沉積物的顏色反射率分佈規律。
